I was working for Suncorp when cyclone Yasi hit and got flown up there to help organise the assessment teams. On the first day I drove a few of the guys down to Tully and got to check the place out in my down time. I dug these out the other night by chance and was shocked at how bad it all was, much worse than I remembered. The bottom picture is what was left of the town hall. It was designated as the community assembly point and shelter during the hurricane.
